We are happy to offer a free migration for your first WordPress website. This guide provides a general overview of how our migration process works, what we need from you, and what to expect.
How the Migration Process Works
Every website migration we perform follows four simple and safe steps:

You Request the Migration: The process begins when you open a support ticket in our Client Area and provide us with the login details for your old hosting account.

We Copy Your Website: Our team securely connects to your old host and makes a complete copy of your website's files and databases. We then move this copy to your new FavoHost account. Your original website stays online and is not affected during this step.

You Test the Copy: We will provide you with a special link to view your website on our servers before it goes live. This allows you to click through all your pages and confirm that everything looks and works perfectly.

You Go Live: Once you are happy and give us your approval, you will update your domain's nameservers. This is the final step that points your domain to your new FavoHost account and makes the migrated site live to the world.
Types of Migrations We Handle

cPanel to cPanel Migrations (Easiest Method)
If your old hosting provider uses cPanel (just like we do), we can often perform a full account transfer. This is the best method because it includes your website files, databases, settings, and all of your email accounts.

Manual Migrations (From other control panels)
If your old host uses a different control panel (like Plesk, or a custom one), our team will manually and carefully copy your website's files and databases. Please note that with this method, we cannot transfer your email accounts. You will need to recreate your email addresses in your FavoHost cPanel after the migration is complete.
What We Need From You to Get Started
To begin your migration, please open a support ticket in the "Website Migrations" department and include the following information:

The domain name of the website you want to move.

Your login URL, username, and password for your old hosting provider's control panel.

If it's a WordPress site, please also include your WordPress admin login details.
After the Migration is Complete
The final step that you must take is to update your domain's nameservers at your domain registrar. You will need to point them to:

Once you make this change, it may take a few hours for the update to be visible everywhere online.
